ArcGIS Pro 3.1

Background:
If I were to merge two lines where the ends touch, then the lines would get merged into a single-part feature (even if the parts were digitized in different directions), which is good. I think that's an improvement over ArcMap.

Idea:
However, if the ends of the features don't touch, a multi-part feature gets created. That's expected. But it would be helpful if ArcGIS Pro could warn us when that happens so we can go back and fix it. That'd be especially helpful for cases when the gap between features was too small to see it at certain scales when merging.

Video:

I'm aware that tolerances can sometimes prevent issues like this. But we don't always have the option of going back and changing the tolerance properties of the data we're editing.

9 times out of 10, multi-parts aren't wanted. See Prevent multi-part features. Could ArcGIS Pro be enhanced so that we are warned when merging creates a multi-part feature?
