For enterprise geodatabases, we're able to see the SQL definition of the view in the view's properties in Catalog:
But that doesn't seem to work for file geodatabase views. There isn't a Definition section in the view's properties:
Could that SQL Definition functionality be added for file geodatabases too?
And of course, we also want to be able to edit view definitions in Catalog too:
Database View: Edit SQL definition in Catalog.
Thanks.
I'm using ArcGIS Pro 3.0.3.
For what it's worth, it's possible to view the SQL of a mobile geodatabase. So the FGDB is the exception to the rule.
Hi @Bud as you noted, this was unfortunately a regression bug as the functionality had been there (as you cited the fact that it was implemented in ArcGIS Pro 2.7 in your original post).
The bug is fixed in Pro 3.1 (planned to be available in late February 2023) as noted on the bug: https://support.esri.com/en/bugs/nimbus/QlVHLTAwMDE1NDI4NA==
We're sorry for the inconvenience, but we'll have this functionality back soon.
This issue appears to be fixed in ArcGIS Pro 3.1.1 (and possibly earlier versions).
