In applications like:

  • Windows
    • Chrome
    • Firefox
    • Edge
    • Windows Explorer
  • iOS
    • Safari

...we're able to triple-click to select all text in a text box. That makes it easy to select the text and then copy it.

However, ArcGIS Pro 3.1.1 doesn't seem to work like that. For example, if I go to the properties of a geodatabase and try to triple-click the text in the Name textbox, only a single word gets selected, not all text.

Could ArcGIS Pro be enhanced so that triple-clicking selects all text in a textbox?

I'm aware that there are other options for selecting all text in a textbox, such as selecting/dragging with the mouse or CTRL+A. Those options work, but I find triple-clicking is more convenient. Or put differently, it's inconvenient when a convention works most other places, just not in ArcGIS Pro.

Thanks.

I think my narrower idea could be merged into your broader, more useful idea: Layout - select paragraph with triple click - Esri Community
