In a layout where Map Series is activated I would like to add a table not horisontally but vertically. The columns in the related shapefile are stacked under one another and the values are on the right side. At the moment the transpose fields tool (Transpose Fields—Data Management toolbox | ArcGIS Desktop ) can create such a table, but then the relation with the Map Series is broken and you have a static table. I want the table to be able to change with the next Ma Series page.

Thank you for this idea. The map series feature as well as the table frame feature do feel a bit incomplete. In a spatial map series, the most likely use for a table is including an attribute list. It's nice that tables support map series, but don't you think most users would like a vertical list that has a reasonably good chance of fitting on a page? If you have each field set to an inch wide, that's only about 10 or so fields that you can fit on a standard landscape ANSI letter, and only to show one row? Why is vertical not the default? 🤦🏼‍

Transpose Table functionality is much required for those who prepare map series. Do anyone thought of such a provision?
