Spellcheck currently only works on layout items and it does not work on map graphics, labels, callout boxes, etc. Please enable spell check on content inside of a map.
This is a good idea, but it should probably be toggleable. Or at least allow for custom dictionaries. There's plenty of reasons to "misspell" things in a label. Either to use the character as a graphic or abbreviation. You also have the added complexity of HTML tags and formatted strings.
I think AutoCAD handles this pretty well by having a tool that just spell checks the whole file at once and gives you a nice list so you can ignore things that aren't spelling mistakes and your map isn't constantly full of squiggles that aren't necessary.
