While editing a point file, whose features fall within a polygon, it would be nice to be able to snap this point to the polygon's centroid.
Agree, it would be a great snapping option.
Try the Feature to Point GP tool and use default settings to snap points to centroids.
Came here to suggest this as well. Sure, you can pretty easily convert polygons to points, but there doesn't seem to be a good solution if your points already exist (as of Pro 3.1).
I created some circles that represent radius of my field operation. I remembered I would like to mark the centers too, so when I take the map to field I know I'm close enough to the center. I found people using calculate geometry, extra fields and translating it into point layer with centers, which seems excessive amount of work. I remembered elementary school geometry and used 4 lines. 2 tangents, and then perpendicular line in the center of each tangent using snap to mid point and right angle line, their intersection is the center. I think if there is snap to mid point there should be snap to geometric center. Especially when you are moving the polygon/circle the center gets highlighted for you to grab.
