Many times, Field Technicians using Field Maps will loose spatial awareness by zooming in too far on the map and distorting the infrastructure. Being able to set a single maximum or minimum zoom level would eliminate this issue.
All users of ArcGIS Pro who utilize custom scales will benefit from this enhancement, as it will allow them to view intermediate scale values by setting a range for minimum and maximum zoom levels.
Requesting the ability to set a scale range under the map scale properties for zooming in and out, eliminating the need to create an extensive list of scales for adjusting the map scale level. This would simplify the workflow and enhance usability.
Why do I want this?
- I appreciate the ability to set a minimum zoom level on the map but finds the requirement to establish specific zoom intervals between the minimum and maximum to be cumbersome.
- This leads to a "clicky" experience when zooming in and out, detracting from the smoothness they experienced prior to enabling the "Only display these scales when zooming" option.
- Although I have customized the scale with 50 options, the current setup results in a glitchy zoom experience.
- I'm requesting a solution that allows for free flow zooming while limiting the maximum and the minimum range of scale.
I've logged ENH-000171022 and hope you'll consider this.
