Rename FC from Catalog properties

ArcGIS Pro 3.1.2; mobile or file GDB:

I want to change the name and alias of a FC or table. And I want to make those changes all in one place/step: in the Catalog properties:

I can change the alias from the Catalog properties. But I can't change the Name, despite that textbox appearing as if it is editable. It's actually read-only.

I can only rename the FC using Catalog —> right-click —> Rename. That works, but it would be more intuitive and efficient to be able to do it from the Catalog properties too.

Could that behavior be changed?
