ArcGIS Pro 3.2.1
I've opened the attribute table of a standalone FGDB table. It opens in the bottom view by default. I drag it to the top view where the map tab is located so that I can see the whole table.
Then I close the table and reopen it. The attribute table opens in the bottom view, not the top view where I had left it.
I would have preferred the attribute table to remember the view it was last opened in. Could that behaviour be changed?
Video:
Hello @Bud , it's not quite what you want, but there is an option for the Table to open as a separate floating window. And between separate openings, it does remember the size and position you set the Table to.
Chris is definitely pointing you to the right User Interface options. For specifically what you're showing in your video, it looks like the 'Stacked on top of the active view' would do that.
Changing the User Interface option for Tables is super helpful. Thank you!
Another thing I would like to see regarding the Attribute Table/Attribute Table Pane is the ability to X out all the tables/field views/attribute tables in one fell swoop. Right now, each table needs to be closed individually.
It is helpful that the pane can float/move/etc., but I spend oodles of time X -ing out tables. There must be an easier way...
Do any of you know how to do this?
Thanks!
-Michael
This is a pretty sub-par "solution", considering many of us became accustomed to being able to have attribute tables pinned to various locations around the screen in Desktop 10, sized to certain heights, and whenever we opened a new table it would remember the height.
The floating window option works, but it looks pretty amateur to have things pinned and connected to the windows elsewhere around the screen but the attribute table now has to hang out in space.
mbeuno0 also raises a good point about the need now to do multiple clicks for what could once be accomplished with one. I can't believe this is at 3.3 and there's still such glaring deficiencies in basic UI.
