Pro 2.0.0 publishing to ArcGIS not returning error message

When I attempted to publish my vector tile service directly to AGOL the process failed without a message the point is NO MESSAGE.
I then used the CreateVectorTilePackage and it failed but gave me a sensible message the point is I GOT A MESSAGE. The issue was ERROR 001860: Tiles contain too many vertices, so I could then deal with it.
The MAIN POINT here is that the direct publish SHOULD HAVE reported that I had this issue(Tiles contain too many vertices.) but it did not.
I would like Esri to update the Pro 2.0.0 publish code to properly report errors to the user.
