From the other post:
I'm running into the problem of "I can place a map, but I can't communicate to the viewer what is on that map unless I am there to explain it to them".
Is there any way to add a legend (or actually, a straight-up layout would be best) to a presentation?
My current workaround would be to make a layout, export it, and then bring it in as an image, but I think it'd be a lot cleaner to just pull in the layout object directly?
I'd like to be able to add a full layout object to a Presentation. Among other things, being able to add a legend (and a scale bar) to your map is important when presenting it to other people.
The current workaround is to export to Image (or copy the legend as graphics, which is gross). Adding in a layout object would be cleaner.
I've completely forgotten about Presentations!
I looked at it way back when and wrote it off as useless for this very reason.
Brownie points for auto-creating slides based on a map series with all the accoutrements like dynamic text, tables, etc.
Kudos given and let's see what happens.
Map series compatibility would be pretty cool-- especially if you could specify which pages you wanted to show up. Good idea.
