Many organizations dissolve parcel data to create new polygons for thing like zoning, annexations, service areas, and land use. If the roads are not digitized as polygons, attributed, and used in the dissolve, there are gaps that must be bridged manually along the edges of the desired boundary polygons to create a single polygon. It would be great if there was a tool that would close the gaps caused by the roads automatically.
As a bonus, it would be great if there was a setting to divide the roads between dissimilar polygons so that the boundary between the two areas was on the centerline.
