Editing in ArcGIS Pro is so so slow, when working with large and complex datasets. I do cartographic editing in topographic maps, and often, I wait and wait and wait for simple edit operations like moving a point or a line to complete. Often, I have to turn off heavy symbology and turn of data layers to increase performance, however, if I can't see all feature classes in the map, I can't edit correctly.
I wonder if perfomance could be increased, if it was possible to pause the redrawing of selected feature layers in the map while editing others. E.g while editing roads, only roads should be redrawn, and the remaining features should not redraw. Then, after editing the paused layers could be "released" for redrawing, to review the result. Yes, this would leave 'empty' spaces on the screen, when features are moved during the editing, but it seems a small price to pay, if editing performance is increased.
