So, I've been running into this issue recently where I have a bunch of symbol layers that look pretty similar to one another but, in fact, do different things

In this example, I have two shape marker symbol layers with the exact same symbol inside. The difference between them is that one fills the polygon, and the other puts points on each of the polygon's vertices.

There is no way for me to tell them apart without opening them up.

Could it be possible to name each symbol layer?

Something like this:

Fun thing I noticed while reading the CIM documentation today: These symbols can already have names; they just aren't exposed.

For example, the SolidFill symbol: cim-spec/docs/v3/CIMSymbols.md at main · Esri/cim-spec · GitHub
