Let me change which field my symbology is based on without losing my symbol classes

Often in ArcGIS Pro I'm working on symbolizing a layer, and I have a specific range of symbol classes I want to use. So I'll import the symbology from a layer that's already using those classes, but then when I update the field that the symbology is based on, the classes all reset to the default. It would be nice if Pro would keep the same values and labels for the classes, so we don't have to redo all that work to set them up.
