Problem: Setting up a Layout with guides evenly dividing the page into thirds or any other fraction is functionally simple for computers, but ArcGIS Pro Layouts currently require manual attention and effort. I've added 4 screen shot images demonstrating my current experience:
Ideal vision: In the "Add Guides" wizard's "Placement" drop-down menu include the option "Percentage" and/or "fractions", or have in the "Position" field accept % or fraction.
Demo Scenario: I want to create a layout with 4 map frames, one map frame that takes the upper 2/3's of the page and the remaining lower 1/3 of the page split into 3 columns for the other three map frames. A user simply right-clicks the ruler section to pop up the Add Guides Wizard, Selects "horizontal" and "Evenly space" and enters 33%, Guides appear evenly dividing the page into thirds!
Example: the open-source software GIMP has an easy, simple, and intuitive means of adding guides. My colleagues say it was a part of ArcMap10.x. but wasn't included in ArcGIS Pro for,.... reasons.
I hope this is low-hanging fruit that can be implemented quickly. Or perhaps, already solved but hidden in a non-intuitive way, and someone can point me the way.
