The Layer to KML too automatically chooses a transform for you when your input is not in WGS84. Also it does not consistently report name of the transformation used in the geoprocessing messages. This makes it difficult to use the reverse tool, KML to Layer, without guesswork or additional steps.
Users would benefit from the ability to control the transformation with a dropdown selection or 'none' choice when working with these tool.
This Idea has been implemented in ArcGIS Pro 3.2. The Layer to KML and Map to KML tools will let you set a georgraphic transformation from the tool's environments. Also, the run message will notify you about the transforamtion that took place.
Please see the What's New documentation for more new features in Pro 3.2.
The Your Ideas in ArcGIS Pro 3.2 blog and video have been posted to the Esri Community blog. You can take a look at these to see your idea and all others that were implemented in this release of ArcGIS Pro
