Labeling in ArcGIS Pro
For those of us that still do cartography and make maps using GIS (ArcGIS Pro), could we make it easier to modify text placed in what is now a graphics layer. I thought modifying text elements with associated callouts in ArcMap was not user friendly. Trying to customize text and associated outlines/fill and especially customized leader lines in ArcGIS Pro is not at all user friendly. There are way too many menus one has to dive down into to try to make something like I have pasted below. Simply creating the callout below in ArcGIS Pro is nothing less than a 10 minute task. Could we please make it easier to create customized text callouts, or better yet, have some of these callouts be included with ArcGIS Pro that would scale the arrowhead terminator when the text size gets changed. The callouts included with ArcGIS Pro are not very visually appealing either and are hard to customize as well.
Note: I searched the ArcGIS Pro style libraries posted online and could not find anything that has nice text callout with arrowhead terminators.
This workflow can be streamlined by creating a text symbol style for reuse. see the documentation for creating a style and sharing styles.
