Please make the default behaviour of any Properties window to be that the Spatial Reference section is expanded.
This is one of my most frequently used info areas and doing a click & scroll every single time is placing a strain on my mouse and my hand.

Go from this:

to this:

At least in ArcMap it remembered what you had open previously.

There are 5 datums in active use in Australia at the moment so this info is VERY IMPORTANT to know for EVERY dataset that comes in.

The window takes time to open & draw already. A few ms more won't change the experience much and getting data you need at first glance is a much better scenario.

Maybe adding something like a "pin" function which set status is stored in the settings would be a good implementation. So you could pin areas you always want to show expanded:

Promotion of Spatial Reference should take precedence above all else in the properties of a layer.

Within one year, North American/Hawaii/Mariana/Alaska users will see the new reference frame/datum and the user community will need instant recognition of SR for features.  This alone should promote this idea for those of us on the same plate as Redlands CA!.

Really though, anything done here would benefit us.

They are:

A pin keeping Spatial Reference open.

Sliding SR to the top of the list and auto opened at the first instance of the properties.

A new tool in the TOC along the top, dedicated to expose the GCS/WKID and angular units.   This would expose all the layers in the TOC, grouped by spatial reference.

The "G" in GIS needs promotion today and for the future.

thank you for your consideration in this matter.
