Events that Span Route - New Data Type

Instead of upgrading the existing Linear Referncing datatype to support events that span routes - create a new data type - one that supports the concept of a continuous route underlying several other connected routes. Who cares about branching and networks. This is for pipelines and transportaion networks. Single streams of linear referencing direction that happen to have one or MORE different linear referencing scheme's applied to them. Then features or events could span the smaller segments because they were ultimately (and behind the scenes) located on the longer spine underlying the smaller segments.
