Error Inspector In ArcGIS Pro: Error Messages when editing

In my opinion, ArcGIS Pro Error Inspector could be improved by adding error messages for incomplete fixes or issues.

I encountered an issue where I was attempting to complete a topology check of a feature and appeared that the error inspector is not resolving the errors. Adding error messages to the error inspector as to why a "fix" cannot be applied would significantly improve my experience with error inspector. After much fussing, it was determined that my features could not merge my overlap because I had failed to enable the "editable" check box in my contents pane. This is definitely user error, however a message displaying "this layer is not editable" would have considerably simplified my troubleshooting. I spent a considerable amount of time attempting to refresh my software, clear my cache, re-validate my topology, verifying coordinate systems, running a repair geometry, etc, to learn that all I failed to do what click a box. What was especially frustrating was that I had clicked merge and GIS in no way indicated it could not complete the merge, it acted like it did it, but never triggered an edit. Hoping this is a tool we can improve in future versions.

@DEAF_PROBERT_68 Sorry, a screenshot of what? Unfortunately, this is a difficult thing to screenshot. Its more of a video thing. It is the act of NOT displaying a message when I click something 😞 I had a call with an ESRI rep about this because I thought my software was bugging out but we were able to figure out that it was just not doing it because I had failed to enable the editable check box.

@SarahMorrison  Oh okay. the reason why I asked for a screenshot was to help everyone that can answer your question or someone in here might had the similar to your situation.

At least you got the help and got it done and fix it.

@DEAF_PROBERT_68 I figured out what was going on, but my post is about why i think error messages would be helpful as I think this sort of issue occurs a lot and it would help users troubleshot.
