Related to all the Ideas toward limiting the need of files or databases to be created or exist every time Pro starts.
To make Pro start faster provide the option to set the new temporary memory workspace as the default workspace / database.
In my case I want Pro to start as fast as possible, and then I will add the various folders and databases as needed for that project.
The two current options of either having Pro create a new temporary FGDB somewhere, or have it use a specific existing database are not efficient.
I have to go through adding a database, set as default database, remove useless database, repeat for folders, EVERY SINGLE TIME I USE PRO. (Vote up the Idea to add a fgdb/folder and make it default in one click please!)
If we can set the memory workspace as the default, I am sure Pro will start much faster so that we can get to working with the correct data sooner. Part of the process could be to have Pro use the first database and/or folder to be added, as default - removing the multiple step process to add a default item.
I don't change toolboxes and styles, etc all that often so don't have a clean plan for them yet, but they don't seem to mess with the startup process too much either.
