It would make a lot of sense to be able to just remove style ITEMS that you don't need/want right when you are most likely to see them - in the style ITEM picker. Right-clicking does nothing; in the case of the gallery view within the symbology pane, it actually acts as a left click. To actually remove the style ITEMS, it's a pretty cumbersome, unintuitive trip through the catalog view:
Would be a lot simpler to just remove them from here.
(Would also helped if the style categories functioned like folders in catalog view).
@CraigWilliams - this is not what I'm requesting. That removes entire style sets from the project. I am requesting the ability to remove individual styles. Please reopen.
What I showed was removing styles. Individual symbols, colors, color schemes etc. are "style items". This user experience is a style item selection experience. We have no plans to introduce deleting of style items in the style item selection. This is done via style management which handles the differences between read-only and editable styles.
@CraigWilliams Ok, I will rename the idea to reference "style items" then.
I understand that you may not currently have plans of introducing this - hence the idea. That's what this site is for, no? Sharing ideas of things to implement? Correct me if I'm wrong.
@Marie_Ducharme and others who come across this: since this was not reopened despite my clarifications, I've created a new posting: Delete style items from style item picker - Esri Community
