Currently when you create a map template and set a default geodatabase for that template, the default geodatabase is not distributed with the map template. I would like to be able to choose whether or not the default geodatabase is saved to the actual map template. I realize this might be problematic because the SDE connections are "user specific".

Hello @JenniferBorlick ,

In ArcGIS Pro, a project always has a default geodatabase. When you create a project package or a project template the default geodatabase is always included, as documented in the help topic "Share a project package": https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/sharing/overview/project-package.htm .

We are closing this idea since ArcMap and ArcCatalog are in mature support, and since this functionality is already offered in ArcGIS Pro.
