It would be great if we could export to Excel directly from the Contents > Data menu. Add a new "Export to Excel" option under "Export Table".
It would also be a good idea to add a checkbox for "Use domain and subtype description" when exporting.
Possibly other possible options, as is the case with the geoprocessing tool "Table To Excel".
Yes! It’s crazy to export in old dbase table?!? Is anyone use this today?!?
Thanks for this Idea @LadislavJeník .
Does the Table to Excel GP tool satisfy your request or is there some specific functionality that is missing for your workflow?
I think their point is that it'd be preferable to have that capability by right-clicking on the item in the contents pane -> Export
Thanks @AlfredBaldenweck,
I updated the name of the Idea to match the intent.
Thank you @AlfredBaldenweck, it's precise.
Thanks @SSWoodward for the edit name of the Idea. I believe ESRI will incorporate it into ArcGIS pro. 😉
We do our best to incorporate feedback!
If you use this tool a lot, my suggestion in the mean time would be to add Table to Excel to your Quick Access Toolbar. This would allow you to access it in fewer clicks than if it was in the right-click export menu.
@SSWoodward
I see. Thanks for the suggestion. It's also an option.
But I would prefer if ESRI incorporated the export into the standard spreadsheet environment.
@LadislavJeník If this idea were implemented, it would still be a different tool. The enhancement would be adding the separate Table to Excel tool as a new option in the context menu. Exporting to Excel requires a different set of input information than exporting to a geodatabase or dbase table. Is that in line with your request?
