When editing text in the Attributes pane > Annotation tab, clicking the map doesn't appear to commit the change properly. It shoes the edit when selected, but it also shows the prior state, and when deselecting, it reverts. When re-selecting, it again shows both.

Ex. old value was

951105
109

New value is

95110
5109

Moving the annotation afterward also does not update.

Even if I subsequently click the green check it still shows the old value until saving, closing & reopening.

@wayfaringrob Thanks for reporting this issue to us. I was able to reproduce the behavior internally. I'll log a bug in our system and provide details so you can track on the Technical Support site.

In the meantime, could you attempt the following steps  and confirm if you can still see the issue?

  1. Open Annotation editing tool from Edit ribbon tab tools' gallery
  2. Use tool's Active Select tool to select annotation feature in the map
  3. Double-click inside the feature selection box to select text
  4. Sigle-click to start editing text
  5. Click anywhere in the map to apply edit

To close the loop, here is bug information I promised; BUG 000158875.

@JosphatMutunga  hey there - once I've clicked into the text box, I'm actually unable to hit enter -- nothing happens. I can add other characters, though, and it does retain the change when clicking the map.
