When making a selection with a chart open, a column called 'Selection' appears in Chart Properties. I would think that it would display statistics for your selected features whereas the 'Dataset' column would show stats for the entire dataset. However, with a selection, the 'Selection' column seems to show the same thing as the 'Dataset' column. It would make more sense if the 'Selection' column actually reflected your selection.

In the below example, I select 553 features. The selection column appears and populates statistics for 698 features, which is the entire dataset.

Hi @LanceKirby2

Thank you for responding--glad to hear that the statistics are still being show in the Data tab!

The performance enhancements for charts using data from a cloud data warehouse or enterprise database were introduced in the 3.0 release (see the documentation page for more details). Unfortunately, one limitation of these performance enhancements is that chart selection is no longer supported. Currently, we allow you to disable the performance enhancements (thus allowing for chart selection) by setting a registry key, as described in the following technical article:

https://support.esri.com/en/technical-article/000027747

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

Thanks!

Chris

Hi all, I'm closing this because we have not been able to reproduce the original bug where the selection statistics are displaying the same values as the entire dataset.

I also wanted to mention that starting in Pro 3.2, server-side processing is turned off by default, so chart selection and selection statistics should be available automatically when the data comes from a cloud data warehouse or enterprise database. We also introduced a toggle in the Chart Properties pane to facilitate turning this setting on/off:

Thanks,
