Please bring back the ID tool from Arcmap. It was much easier to use and select features to ID. It becomes cumbersome to select several features spread across the map and add to a the pop-up like it is in Arcmap. Please consider this enhancement!
this already exists in arcgis pro and you can control if it returns all layers, top-most, etc.

Still not like Arcmap. But, I did discover: 1. using explorer finger, select feature to ID, popup opens with results 2. To add to existing popup: 1st hold down ctrl key, then press and hold shift key 3. then draw box around additional features to add to the popup. In Arcmap, pick feature(s) to ID, then to add to the popup, just hold down the ctrl key (or just hold down shift key) to add to the popup, single pick or box. Also, ID tool in Arcmap is independent of other tools which makes it easier to manipulate selecting features.
I agree with JakeK. I would like to see Identify with the draw rectangle to identify all features in this area back. It is really cumbersome making several layers selectable, selecting a rectangle of features, then opening each attribute table in turn and filtering to the selected features to see what is there. Further, the lack of rectangular identify is going to be tricky for our novice users.
@geodoozer for "rectangular identify" have you tried holding down Ctrl and drawing your rectangle with the Explore tool?
I would love to be able to select which layer I'm identifying. I know you can choose "Selected in Contents" however I don't always have the layer I want to ID selected and it adds unnecessary clicks to the operation.
If ESRI allowed the "Selectable Layers" option to work with grouped items and rasters this would be fixed.
