Currently, the "Notebooks" section of the catalog pane displays the notebooks that are present at the root level of the Project's default folder. I often have many notebooks associated with a project and like to keep those filed away in a separate folder. It would be nice if we could set the location of the "Notebooks" directory so that we can keep our project folders nice and "tidy". Bonus Points: Allow us to specify multiple directors that can contain Notebooks.

As I understand it, the Notebooks folder is like the Folders or Toolboxes folder-- it isn't a folder, but a list of connections. A connection isn't required for you to use that sort of item (unlike in ArcMap), so provided you can browse to the item, you can use it without adding it to your project.

You can always create a designated folder for your notebooks and add it as a folder connection, then browse the ones you need there. Or right-click on the notebooks folder in the catalog and add the notebooks that you need.

The default behaviour of right-click notebooks connection section/Insert Tab--> New Notebook is to just place it in your home folder, but there's nothing stopping you from right-clicking on a folder and creating a new notebook there.
