It would be helpful if the "Copy" tool were enhanced to copy the initial input layer data in model builder. For example, as shown in the screenshot below, the "Copy" tool currently fails to copy the initial input layers.
The advantage of the "Copy" tool over the "Copy Features," "Select," and "Table Select" tools is that it works for copying both layers and tables. However, its disadvantage is that it fails to copy the initial layer data.
