Please add the ability to select a field/row in the ID tool pop-up to return to on each consecutive click. Arcmap pop-up allows this behavior and is a quick way to see a particular value in a field. Steps in Arcmap: 1. select ID tool, click a feature, pop-up opens, scroll down select field to return to, ID another feature, pop-up refreshes to show same field highlighted.
Yes it would be very helpful to have that ability in Pro.
@JakeKrall The location of where you are in the pop-up will be maintained starting in ArcGIS Pro 2.9. We heard that the primary pain point was that if a user had scrolled down to work with a certain field, the next pop-up they opened, they would have to scroll again.
Here's a quick example of the new behavior:
@KoryKramer Good to see it implemented in next release. Thank you.
This is implemented in ArcGIS Pro 2.9 as shown above. See Ideas in ArcGIS Pro 2.9 for a number of other ideas you can expect to see when you update.
This was implemented almost to the Arcmap equivalent. It does jump to the same position. However, it does not highlight the field and value like Arcmap. Checking Use classic pop-up mode does not allow the highlighting either. Can you make the field and value highlight like in Arcmap?
Hi @JakeKrall The architecture behind the identify window in ArcMap and the pop-up in Pro is not the same. In ArcMap, it is purely a table whereas in Pro it is an HTML container that can contain a table, but also many other elements. So it isn't a 1:1 comparison. We don't currently have a plan to implement highlighting rows in pop-ups. If you would like to request that specifically as a new idea, we will use that to gauge user demand and help us determine the value of dedicating development resources to this functionality.
Thank you!
@KoryKramer This functionality seems to have disappeared in Pro 3.1. Can you bring it back and try to allow selecting a row/field to return to? Appears it can be done (https://smallbusiness.chron.com/dim-picture-css-35851.html). Or, is there an option that needs to be turned on? Thank you for considering.
Hi @jakek You are correct - there was a regression of this behavior that occurred and we are looking to include the fix in upcoming patches for 3.0 and 3.1. Sorry again for the inconvenience related to the reversion of the behavior.
Follow-up idea: Highlight row in pop-ups
