I often use the option to "create layer from selected features". It's so helpful to have a second copy of a layer than I can work from with only a subset of my data.
But by default it always creates the layer at the very top of the Contents pane. So I have to drag it down manually to right next to the layer it was created from.
I do this every time, as I've yet to encounter a situation where I don't want the two layers to be side by side. And when I was still newer to this capability, I would think it didn't even work because I didn't realize where my layer was.
In the projects I edit most in, I have 20+ layers, so this makes a big difference. It's not a large change, but it would save me time and frustration in my workflows.
