When trying to use a gradient fill, a continuous pattern is available for three of the four options: Circular, Rectangular, and Linear.
It is noticeably absent from the "Buffered" direction.
I would like Buffered to have a continuous gradient as well.
Right now, if I want to have a similar effect, I either have to hope that the other three options will look good enough, or approximate it with stroke layers in the symbology.
This is very time-intensive to get right, and sometimes requires utilizing a graphics layer to fill in the gaps.
Please add in a "continuous" option for the Buffered Pattern.
As an update to this, I figured out that by reducing the size of the gradient and WAAAAY upping the steps (minimum 30, I've pushed it to 100), I can get the results I want.
This slows down drawing considerably.
I also just found this video by John Nelson that can be used to achieve the desired effect. https://youtu.be/jiDMYTD3OCQ
Actually, several months later, I've played around with that effect and it still doesn't work as I want. Please add a continuous gradient option to the buffered gradient.
