Add the ability to use the Delete Field gp tool in ModelBuilder for shapefile outputs. I called Support we couldn't figure it out, it looks like an Enhancement. Or maybe a bug. The Delete Field will simply not take shapefiles as an input. I want to delete all fields except GlobalID. (the Keep option)
I actually ran in to this solving another bug. Using the FeatureClass to Excel to preserve Domains. (Transfer Domain Descriptions option in Environment does not work, in ArcMap, or in Pro, this year or last year; from file gdb or from SDE! Not Export Features, FC to FC, FC to Table, nothing. So I"m using a giant model to export all features to Excel and to SHP and then Join them because the full domain text properly exports to Excel)
