Why is Arcade not an option for field calculator in ArcGIS Online?

I am trying to do a field calculation in ArcGIS Online.  The option for Arcade or SQL is not available.  It is defaulting to SQL.

Is there a setting I'm missing?

Having the same problem here with sync and track changes not selected.

Hi Rachel,  

Are you using Portal or ArcGIS Online? I used Portal and I thought that the Arcade option would appear the same way as in ArcGIS Online. However, the Arcade option is not available the same way. If you use Portal, Arcade is available in ArcGIS Pro or in the Map Viewer only.  Hope this help !!

I am seeing the dame as MaiSwasdichira

The Arcade option is available in AGOL to calculate field values for hosted feature layers but NOT in Portal.  Does anyone know if this is just the way it is...?
