Hello,

I am learning more about the use of ArcGIS Online.  I am practicing using the tools to Create Watershed and Trace Downstream.  I use a map pin and pick a place in Utah (topographic basemap), go to analysis and create watershed.  It runs the process but the adjusted points and watershed are drawn in eastern Africa.  I picked a spot in Ohio and it completed the process as it should.  I tried various US states and some watersheds ended up in Africa, while some were in the correct spot.  Any idea what I might be doing wrong?  I think it is strange that some states work correctly, but others don't.  I attached a screenshot.

Thanks in advance!

Hi AASTGIS,

From your description, I believe that you were using the draw points functionality to specify a point, is that correct? Could you try with a persistent layer, i.e. a point feature layer that you have added to your contents? I would just like to understand better what could be causing this issue.

Thank you very much,
