There's a fantastic tool from Esri's Applications Prototype Lab called Terrain Expoter (have a look at this yt video). But like so many stuff from Esri, this seems to be abandoned/deprecated and it doesn't work anymore (can't login). The last update to the git repo was 5 years ago.
Which means: we have to build our own. Does anybody know what's the elevation service behind this that enables you to download elevation tiles? I know there's this World Imagery for Export Map service available for downloading Satellite imagery, but I haven't found this for elevation data. Does anybody know if such a service to download physical raster data for elevation data exist?
Thanks!
