Symbology is not appearing in WebApp but is appearing correctly in Webmap. How to fix?

Hello all,

I have a map that I started in Arcgis Pro and have published it as a webmap. The symbology appears correctly in the webmap. However, when I then attempt to make a webapp out of my webmap all symbology is lost.   Any thoughts on what is going on here? 

Please see the attached image. The window left to right are; Arcgis Pro, Web map, and Web app.

Without seeing the map my guess is you have this option unchecked which creates a symbol with properties that are only supported on newer clients like Map Viewer, Experience Builder, Dashboards and Instant Apps.

If you are using an 3.x client like Map Viewer Classic or Web AppBuilder you will see the symbols downgraded.

This sounds like it could be a winner.  Where can I find this setting at?  Is it a setting for the webmap, webapp, or at the feature layer level?

In Pro under Share Web Map. This will publish with a more simple style. There could be some downgrades depending on the symbol being used but I think with the above they will be fine and in as simple picture markers.
