I'm trying to save credentials for a secure webservice from one of our organization's application that's running using ArcGIS Server 10.6 to my separate ArcGIS Online organization. We have an dashboard that I built that I'm trying to prevent an executive from having to constantly enter the credentials for the secured layer every time it refreshes. From my reading, I came across some similar workflows and even attempted to save application's url as a trusted server, but was unsuccessful.
This is the most similiar workflow that I referenced, but it's from 2016, so I don't believe AGOL still treats secured services the same way:

There also is a possibility that this could be an issue on the server side, I'm just trying to exhaust all my options before I go to our developers.
