Hello,

I’m using the Sidebar Instant App for multiple projects, and they have all recently stopped working. The app opens and displays the introduction page and header, but the sidebar and map do not load.

I haven’t been able to find any references to this issue and would appreciate any help. I’ve confirmed that the same data displays correctly in other Instant App configurations but creating a new Sidebar app results in the same problem.

I also tried submitting a report and contacting technical support, but my school/work account doesn’t have authorization to open support cases.

Thank you in advance for any guidance or troubleshooting suggestions.

Alternatively if you are an org administrator you can remove it from the Geocode area of the organization settings in ArcGIS Online

Are any of your app urls public? I tested a few sidebar apps and don't see any issues but perhaps there is a particular tool or set of tools causing the issue?

Hi Kelly,

Yes, the apps are (usually) public here is a link to one of them if you would like to test it out. I changed their sharing levels since they weren't working but changed this one back to public for testing.

Maybe it is a tool, but the map works correctly. map item id: fa24fe69af23404aaafa2f61b31ea2f4

I'll test a sidebar app with different data to see if I experience a change.

Thanks for your help

I tried using an unrelated dataset with a sidebar app and the same issue is occurring.

It looks like there is an invalid locator in your app, do you know if a locator has been added to your organization Geocoding in utility services recently? Can you try deleting it in the search section of the app configuration and see if that allows the app to load?

Thanks Kelly, I will see what I can do about that locator.

My app is loading for me now even though, which is great. I'm not sure what was causing it to freeze. Oh well.

Thank you for all your help!

@NealHicks we pushed a fix the other night so it'll work now even with the invalid locator
