I have a map (Map Viewer) and I am using it in a dashboard. I can not figure out how to get the feature layer name from showing up in the legend in the Map Viewer and the Dashboard. Using some other posts from a couple of years ago, I was able to use Map Viewer Classic to change the Pop-up Title, and that changes the title in the Details element of the dashboard, but not the map Legend. Is there a way to remove (or customize) the Feature Layer name for the legend in Map Viewer and the associated dashboard? Thanks in advance.

Hi @sandra555

Are you looking for a way to hide a Layer from the Legend? If so, you can open the Properties panel for the layer to disable the option to Show in map legend

You can also rename the layer title in the Legend by selecting Rename on the Layers panel. This would update the Legend, too.

Happy to help if you have any further questions!

I finally gave up on trying to change the name and specified the title of my file during the initial import into the Content with a title I found acceptable for my legend.
