Related Table columns in custom HTML Pop-up in New Map Viewer (strange behavior)

A weird phenomenom I have found with the new map viewer is you are not able to use the:

{relationships/0/field_name}

Flag within an HTML pop-up. You also can't select to display a related column within the pop-up by default from the drop down list like you can within the old map viewer (using the same routing showed above). For example, in the old map viewer:

In the new map viewer, you have to use some really clunky arcade to show the related fields. You can also use the related records feature within the pop-up, which requires the user to click on something and open a new extra window to see the results. This isn't really an option for the less tech savvy occasional users who expect the information within the pop-up directly.

You can hack this by first creating the html pop-up within the old map viewer, then save the map, open the map in the new map viewer, and start working with the map from there.

What's interesting, is that it seems like this functionality is potentially already built into the new map viewer, but they haven't made the option available? When you go to the pop-up field list drop down in the new map viewer after following the above workflow, you now have access to all of the related fields using the classic relationship routing:

I called ESRI and discussed the issue: ENH-000176655

This appears to be a pretty large glaring issue since the old map viewer is being depreciated. Hopefully they can get this added ASAP, since my related tables have 30 columns, it is not practical to make an arcade call to every single one of them.
