Hi there! I'm a first time poster and relatively new to Arcmap 10. I am following along with this tutorial that explains how to create a grayscale basemap: Creating a grayscale version of any ArcGIS Online basemap | ArcGIS Blog
Everything goes smoothly until number 2 under the heading Adding the Basemap Map Service to the Mosaic Dataset:
2. In the Add Rasters to Mosaic Dataset tool, set the Raster Type to Web Services.
When using the Raster Type pulldown menu, "Web Services" is not an option. I do not know why this is. I have followed every previous step to a T.
Any help on this matter would be great or any alternatives that might work
What I am trying to do:
I have isolated non-important layers to a basemap because I want to "gray them out" as the layers are not really that important. With this, I have 3-4 other layers in color that I really want to pop when I go to export to PDF. I could probably go in to each layer in the basemap, remove it and change the colors manually to different shades of gray, but that seems very tedious. Any faster way to do this would be awesome.
