Pop-up is using field name rather than the updated field alias

Hello there!

My web map's pop-up is displaying the field name, yet I have already added some new field alias for that particular layer and I want to display the field alias instead.  I found that re-adding the layer works (field alias will be displayed now), but then I will lost all symbology and other configurations.  Is there any pop-up expression that I can use to display all fields by alias, or somehow to "update" them to use the alias instead of the name?  I have searched and previous questions in this community is based on a specified field (where you have to define it first), but not for "all" the fields.

Thanks for your help and have a nice day!

Hi @KTA

Are you using Map Viewer to configure the web map?

If so, you can use the Fields pane to set the Display name for each of your Fields. Is this the workflow you are using?

Yes, it is! However, I have quite a lot of maps linked to one layer (one data source), and I do not want to update the maps one by one (so I have to fill in the display name for all the fields and for all the maps I have).  I am looking for ways where I can just update the field alias at the base layer/data source, and subsequently apply a formula/workaround in these maps such that the field alias are updated automatically.

Hi @KTA  In that case, one option is to configure the layer how you would like it to appear in one map (symbols, pop-ups, display names), and then Save the Layer. That way when you add it to additional maps it preserves those properties.
