Parcel Viewer Returns No Search Results

Hello,

I am using the AGO Parcel Viewer template, but have yet to get it to return any search results. I can configure it to see my feature service, but when I enter a parcel number in the search box it never returns any results...it just shows the progress (working...) screen indefinitely. Any ideas of what I am doing wrong? Any help would be appreciated.

has the issue with searching nesting layers been resolved?
I have a stormdrain service that includes multiple sublayers in the form

StormDrain
   - Inlets
   - Manholes
   - etc.

Is there any way to search the Manholes layer for values in the attribute table? I really don't want to create a separate service for each stormdrain feature just so i can use the search function in the app.
