Not all content displayed in map when opened in arcMap

I created a map from a base map and uploaded and added content from a shapefile. The map displays the basemap + content corerctly when i open the map in 'ArcGIS.com map viewer' or ArcGIS Explorer online, and also when i connect to arcGISonline from my iphone using esri mobile, but when i open the map in ArcGIS 10 for desktop, only the base map is displayed - my additional content is not displayed on the map. How can i display basemap and content in arcGIS Desktop.

Hi Mike,

In ArcMap 10.0 it can open the web map, but it does not read all the contents of the web map. In ArcMap 10.1 we are now able to return all the contents of the web map. Upgrading will resolve this issue.
