Max file size for upload

Is there a limitation on the zip file size of a shapefile when adding an item "On my computer" to ArcGIS Online?

Have you tried publishing from ArcGIS Desktop 10.1?

I was never was able to get the bigger files (> 150 MB) to work from "My Content" on ArcGIS Online, but it did work fine publishing from ArcGIS 10.1 (File --> Share As --> Service...)
