Hi
Using Map Viewer what's the best way to update the geometry for a feature with a null shape (i.e. empty geometry)?
As far as I can tell, it's not possible in Map Viewer without re-creating the feature there.
I did find some doc recommending to use ArcGIS Pro for this, but I'm looking for an option with the Map Viewer. Here's the Map Viewer doc.
Thanks,
-Cory

No it's not possible. You need to use ArcGIS Pro or recreate the feature.
Suggest creating an ArcGIS Idea if it doesn't exist already.
It's possible that the new Web Editor will eventually allow for this, they're looking to bring in most of the Pro editing capabilities.

Thanks for confirming. It's an odd functionality gap in Map Viewer IMO.
For context, we have folks manually creating records in System X, then we are ingesting the data into ArcGIS. System X lacks a decent way for the operator to define a shape, so Plan A for us was to have the operator use Map Viewer after ingest.
Plan B is looking like an ExB custom widget to do what Map Viewer doesn't support. Our future roadmap includes creating an ExB app anyway, so we will have to add the widget development and move ExB up in our timeline.
Thanks again for the confirmation.
