Hi everyone I am quite new in the arcgisonline world, so this might sound a noob question, but... is it possible to label the features one ads on a map, instead of (or in addition to) using the popups? Thank you
The ArcGIS.com map viewer doesn't support adding text to Map Notes layers. However, another application, ArcGIS Explorer Online (www.arcgis.com/explorer) does. See the attached image for how to add text.
You can add labels. When you publish the map service to your server make sure you have labels turned on. I use mapplex and all my labels and settings for the labels transfer over to AGOL.
This does not work for me -- do you mean for a tiled map service?
