I ran my contours using the USGS and I want to label them in feet rather than meters. How can I do this? ArcMap 10.
Thanks.

Your question isn't very clear; however if you want to display contours in feet you can do the following.

Load the featureclass into ArcMap.

Create a new field - and call it Metres.

Then using this conversion:
1 meter = 3.2808399 feet

Calculate your new field by multiplying the Metre elevation field by 3.2808399.

Hope this helps.

Cheers.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I finally realized that the DEM data was in meters, not feet as I had previously thought, so I divided my contour interval by 3.048 to get feet. Before this the contour labels only displayed in meters so I now know that by inputting 3.048 arcMap automatically labels in feet.
Thanks again.
